Well if you asked his Mum she would say that Clive is a good boy who looks after her well and that she is very proud of him...in fact she is proud of all six of her kids. If you ask some of his clients and friends they will say things like:
"Clive is not only side splittingly funny, he provides valuable life lessons as well."
"Clive Gott is extremely positive. What he is best at though is being frank, forthright and telling people what they NEED to hear rather than what they'd LIKE to hear."
"I've read all the heavyweights in motivational thinking, they were all just theory - until I met Clive!"
If you ask Clive who he is though, he will tell you that he is

"When I first started out in the field of professional 'motivational' and inspirational speaking and training delivery (this is me speaking now by the way) I made the same mistake as most of us make when we start out. I tried to be someone else. I wanted to be Zig Zigler or Tony Robbins. I wished I was Kris Akabusi or Steve McDermott or any of the top speakers. I even tried to be them...and I failed. I failed miserably. I had some success, of course, although the bookings just trickled in. That was until someone told me I could only ever be truly successful in this business if I stuck to the only thing that I am an expert in...ME! So I decided to become me. That was the bravest decision I ever took.
Now, be you a group of kids in York or a group of Arabs in Dubai, a team of managers in London or life insurance sales people in India, when you see or hear Clive Gott you are hearing the person who ISClive Gott. Oh sure, I might use a few old jokes now and then and I'm not averse to throwing in a few generic lines, quotes or stories. My examples and experiences, though, are mine and mine alone.

When I need more material, I go off and earn it. I will climb a mountain like Kilimanjaro or run an Ironman triathlon. Heck I even completed the Marathon Des Sables this year - a 134 mile self supported run through the Sahara desert - for the sake of my originality! You see, I AM a 'T' shirt speaker. That means I talk about things that I have achieved - or screwed up on as the case may be. I do not go to the business or personal development section of Waterstones or Borders for my next key note speech or workshop. And yes...I am funny. One of my passions is working with kids and young people. The thing about this group is that they have a thought and they give it to you...uncensored! And when a group of kids tell you that you are a cross between their business studies teacher and Peter Kay - they mean it!"
Clive Gott is a student of life who happens to be compassionate, courageous, inspirational and very funny. Using his own achievements (and blunders) and life experiences as his main examples, Clive has a unique ability to make the seemingly complex seem simple to understand, the challenging seem achievable and the impossible possible.
